If the axe is dull and he does not sharpen its edge, then he must exert more strength. Wisdom has the advantage of giving success.

Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before obscure men.

But you, be strong and do not lose courage, for there is reward for your work.”

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

The hand of the diligent will rule, But the slack hand will be put to forced labor.

There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good. This also I have seen that it is from the hand of God.

Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.

Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good.

Thus I hated all the fruit of my labor for which I had labored under the sun, for I must leave it to the man who will come after me.

12. Joshua 1:8

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.

It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, And He adds no sorrow to it.

“Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able.

Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

17. Psalm 1:1-3

How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD ,And in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season And its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers.

For what does a man get in all his labor and in his striving with which he labors under the sun?

The Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.

When there is a man who has labored with wisdom, knowledge and skill, then he gives his legacy to one who has not labored with them. This too is vanity and a great evil.

Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf; for in its welfare you will have welfare.

22. Proverbs 6:10-12

“A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest” Your poverty will come in like a vagabond, And your need like an armed man.

23. Proverbs 126:5-6 

Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy.Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
